Do you have take away pizza and pasta in Uppsala?
Yes we have take away pizza and pasta in Uppsala, you can order through this link for pick up!
How long before should I order for take away?
For small orders, up to 1000sek, you can order whenever directly from our website, and pick it up in around 30-40 min. For bigger orders, it would be good to receive the order 1 day in advance so we have time to prepare everything.
Do you have home delivery of take away orders in Uppsala?
No, unfortunately we do not offer home delivery, but you are welcome to order take away from here and choose the date and time you wish to pick up your order.
What type of italian food do you serve?
We want to give you an authentic Italian food experience even though we are far north of Italy! We exclusively work with the best ingredients and handle them carefully. In Italy, every region has a strong food tradition with its own specialties, both when it comes to food and wine. In the south, spaghetti is most famous. Bologna has its tortelloni, and in Milan, you can enjoy various risotto dishes. Naples is considered the birthplace of pizza. Feel free to choose a good wine from our carefully curated wine list for a complete Italian culinary experience.

Yes! We can make gluten free pasta such as Fettucine con Filetto, Fettucine con Pollo, Linguini allo Scoglio, Pappardelle all´arrabbiata, Risotto. Fettucine con Filetto, Fettucine con Pollo, Linguini allo Scoglio, Pappardelle all´ arrabbiata, we can also make risotto. All pizzas can be made gluten free.
What vegan food options do you offer?
We serve several Italian vegan dishes such as bruschetta, canneloni with vegan basil pesto, mushroom gnocchi, vegan pizza (we have vegan cheese) as well as sorbet that is vegan.

How do I make a reservation for a larger company?

How large companies can you accept?
We can have up to 120 seated guests in the restaurant.

How do I reach your restaurant?
If you arrive by train from Stockholm or Arlanda, you can easily reach the restaurant by walking (20 min), along the Fyrisan River, or in alternative by the Uppsala cathedral, and through Universitetparken.
Do you serve only Italian Wine?
Yes, we are specialised on Italian wines, and we really like to try different and new grape varieties, styles and qualities. We give priority to small, family owned wineries, which focus on low quantity, and high quality production.
Do you organise wine tastings?

When did the restaurant opened?
Il Forno Italiano opened its doors for the first time in 2003, and it was named Il Forno a Legna. With the new ownership, same like today, the name Il Forno Italiano seemed more appropriate for an Italian restaurant which looked forward to provide the best culinary and Italian experience in Uppsala.
